Deathly Hallows Quiz Night
Since we have so many Potter buffs, the questions this time will be harder than Dudley's right arm, trickier than Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, more perplexing than the reason for Dumbledore's antipathy to shaving.....you get the idea!
Date: Monday 12th November
Time: 7.30pm
Place: the downstairs room in "The Green Man", opposite Great Portland Street Station

Sorry this is so late! The final scores were…(out of 100)
Ravenclaw 84
Gryffindor 81.5
Hufflepuff 71.5
Slytherin 56
Congratulations to Ravenclaw again! And very well played by Gryffindor too. I really didn’t expect people to do so well considering how difficult the questions were!!
& the Neville Longbottom moments:
Q What was the name of the Muggle Studies teacher killed at the beginning of the book?
A kamasutra (by Slytherin!)
Q What does Hermione use to treat Ron’s splinched arm?
A plaster (by Slytherin!)
Q What words did Harry inscribe on Dobby’s gravestone?
A now you’re dead meat (Slytherin!)
Q What is the name of Draco Malfoy’s son?
A Draco Junior (Slytherin!)
Q What is Rita Skeeter’s biography of Albus Dumbledore called?
A my lie, my dreams, your girlfriend (Slytherin!)
Ravenclaw headed their paper “BETTER than Slytherin!” Tough competition…
Q Name the 2 titles which JKR was considering instead of HP & the Deathly Hallows?
A Shri is a knob-end (Slytherin!)
(we love you Shri but your round was so hard you almost caused a public uprising)
Ralph (aka cool barman who we’ve now been banned for having!) giving some very good hints (e.g. “oxfam” for Charity Burbage)
Ravenclaw missing the final “e” from “Dumbledore!” This is a big deal since it came from Ravenclaw!
Q What is the new Ministry of Magic motto?
A magic is magic (by Gryffindor!)
I'm going comment mad on this site...someone please join me!! :)
I thought I should add a couple of Hermione moments:
To the unaturally clever Ravenclaw table for answering nearly every question correctly!
To Lily (Ravenclaw!) for knowing the Deathly Hallows as Hermione knows Hogwarts, a History. 'twas impressive!
To Hilary (Ravenclaw!) for being able to solve a rubix cube in under a minute. 'twas impressive also!
